How to get to Palambak Island

Pertanyaan2 ini yang selalu muncul setiap kali saya memasang foto Pulau palambak di profile picture BB saya , dan ini yang membuat saya memutuskan untuk memposting cara ke Pulau Palambak.
sebenarnya kalau kita search dari google juga kita akan menemukan informasi tentang pulau ini, tapi di sini saya akan berbagi info berdasarkan pengalaman kami kesana kemaren, semoga berguna.
Transportasi :
- Kami berangkat dari Medan , jadi kami naik taxi dari Medan ke Singkil , memakan waktu kurang lebih 8-9jam, dengan harga Rp.110rb per orang. Cari saja taxi2 atau L-300 dengan rute medan singkil.
- Setibanya di Singkil, kami minta di turunkan di pelabuhan , dan dari pelabuhan cari boat ke pulau balai, memakan waktu 3 jam dari singkil ke pulau balai dengan harga Rp.25rb / orang.
- Dari Singkil kita ke Pulau Palambak, bisa tanya orang sekitar, kalau mau booking boat dan akomodasi ke pulau palambak dimana. Dari pulau Balai ke pulau Palambak memakan waktu setengah sampai satu jam, dan biaya nya Rp.75rb / orang.
Akomodasi :
- di Pulau Balai , kami menginap di Putri Guest House, kisaran biaya kamar adalah Rp.60rb - 150rb/ kamar, tergantung fasilitas nya,
- di Pulau Palambak, hanya ada lima bungalow, per bungalow nya kena Rp.80rb/ malam.
Lain nya :
- Kayak : Rp.150rb / hari (sewa nya di pulau balai dan bisa di bawa ke pulau palambak)
- Snorkel Rp.15rb / item (sewa nya juga dari pulau balai yah)

Wooow, what a beautiful beach, where is it Shanty?? Palambak Island?? where is it? how to get there??
This questions always comes out once I put the picture of Palambak Island as my BB profile picture, and it makes me decide to post it in my blog about how to get there.
Me and my friends depart from Medan.
Transportation :
- We took taxi from Medan to Singkil and it costs us about Rp.110k / person . it tooks about 8-9hours from Medan to Singkil. It is easy to find taxi to Singkil. the taxi that we used is just like private car.
- Arrived at Singkil, ask the taxi to drop u to the port, and from the port you ask the boat that depart to Pulau Balai , it tooks 3 hours from Singkil to pulau Balai and costs about Rp.25k /pax.
- From Pulau Balai , you still need to take boat to Pulau Palambak, just half an hour but it costs about Rp.75k / person.
You can ask the local people at Singkil about the boat to Palambak Island .
Accomodation :
- Singkil - we stayed at Putri Guest House and the price is start from Rp.60k-150k.
- Palambak Island - there are only 5 bungalows available at there, Rp.80k for each bungalow.
Others :
- Kayak : Rp.150k / day (we rent this from Balai island, and we can take it to Palambak Island, sure after u deal with the boss.
- Snorkel : Rp.15k / item / day
Little Paradise - Tropical Island (Palambak Island Part 3)
If you ever dream about having a tropical island entirely to yourself , complete with palm trees, powdery white sandy beaches and gin-clear waters... Here we are, a tropical island just for us.
Just imagine, you woke up in the morning, and greeted by the wave sounds, walk through the bungalow and there is an amazing blue sky , sparkling sea, and white sandy beach waiting for you to jump into the water.
Prepare your own meals with your friend, can be fried rice, pancake, noodles , anything that u want to make. Sure with limited ingredients :D , wash the dishes at the beach, scroll along the beaches, take pictures, play with the waves.
Having the meals at our own Dining room with the most amazing view ever.
Laying down at the balcony of the bungalow, chit chat with your friends, laughing, playing game.
Make the bonfire, grilled the potatoes, playing games, do the stupid things, just make me remember the game with "dung dung tak dung dung tak" I should record it actually, so u can see how fun it was.
No electricity, limited water supply (you should haul the water from the well to the bathroom) , limited signal, uninhabited.
Crabs hunting for our meals. The guys with their unlimited power to get the coconuts from the trees for our dessert.Hop on and Hop off from one island to another island, yes, Island hopping... all island are uninhabited.
It was just so amazing, even though the mosquitoes and bed bugs so annoying , but it still colored up our trip.

PS : Every time I put this island picture on my BB profile picture, there will be at least 4 people asking me where is it, and how to get there, so I just thinking to post how to get there . Check my next post dude !! :)
Survive at your own island - Palambak Island part 2

Margarine, salt, sugar, ketchup , egg, flour, vegetables, fruits, bla bla bla.. (check)
Looks like all the stuffs already complete, yes we are going to do the survival scene for about 5 or 6 days at Palambak Island. There will be no body there but us, no electricity, no restaurant, no boat, nothing.. just an island with trees, sea, beach and you as the owner there. We just so excited, can't wait till we reach that place.
Once the boat come to pick us up, we jump to the boat and Palambak Island.... Here we come !!!!
Half an hour riding speed boat jumping through the wave, make our ass more flat that it was, forget about the ass, just along the way to the island, we saw so many beautiful color of the sea, sparkling blue, turquoise, green, coral, jumping fish, flying fish, just so amazing !! and one of the boat crew told me, this is just the beginning, Palambak Island is more beautiful than this !! I almost dropped my jaw .
The other 2 couples already wait for us at the island, once we arrived , it's almost evening, so we need to prepare our dinner soon, before it's getting to dark , remember no electricity in the island.
29th August afternoon, the weather is just so unpredictable , from sunny to windy, and than cloudy, raining with storm, almost blow away our selves !! well..kidding, but serious, this is the 1st time I experienced the gale like this.
We can't prepare our lunch also because of the gale , till Kris move the stove to the back side of the bungalow, inside a small chamber, and prepare the pancake for us.
and today we are waiting for the other cast of survival movie ~ they are 6 peeps ; Mei2, Fenny Chen, Erwin, Karnadi, Tahbar and Suwanto Goh . They arrived when the island hits the storm, what an unforgettable experience huh? fight with the storm, hehehe...
Finally the complete cast are gathered, total 13 people, and the survival movie is begin . ACTION !!!

Palambak Island part 1
Lucky me, am goin there with Sisi, she is the one that search for any information about how to get to this place, where to stay, what to do.. and Fenny as well !! yes, am the lazy one I think :p
We start from Medan at 26th of August, 8pm, gathered at sun plaza, and being picked up by the travel (taxi), really start our way around 9pm, just 5 folks inside the car including the driver and one aceh girl, the aceh girl was sat in front with the driver, so me and sisi at the 2nd row and fenny at the 3rd row, quite spacious for us.
I am the one that easily sleep no matter where and when, so no need to doubt , I fell asleep once the car leave apart Medan. When Sisi and Fenny grambling about the bumpy road, I even don't know if we passed on the bumpy road. =P
Arrived at Singkil the next day at 6am , the driver drop us to the port, but the boat will leave at 9am , so we decided to walk around while waiting for 9am and waiting for a couple of Mexico CSers that will join us for this trip also, Ale and Edu. They reach the port just before the boat goin to leave, they came with another couple, Kriz and Kate, Kris is from Poland and Kate from England.
Nah the complete 1st team is formed, Me, Sisi, Fenny, Edu, Ale, Kris, Kate total, 7 peeps, Once we arrived at Singkil Island, we heard if the palambak island is closed during the ramadhan and eid mubarak. WTH!! we already took 8 hours drive and 3 hours boat to reach this place and just another 1 hour to get to the island but they said it temporary closed !! after negotiation and negotiation, dealing and dealing finally we can go to the island , stay at there, but we need to take care of our selves, because there will be nobody at that island but us.
wooow!! that's cool, so we decided to rent their kitchen set and bought some ingredients to those places.
Ale, Edu, Kris, and Kate leave to the island first. Three of us still stay at Singkil Island, do kayak :D . After kayak, we went for our dinner, and than just roll over our bed while arrange the boat for us to "our destination" tomorrow and write down the stuffs that we need to buy to bring to the island tomorrow.
Can't wait for tomorrow !!! let see what is there??
Tik Huek a.k.a Namorambe Gang
Here is another gang where I belong to. Tik Huek is mean blood drops, which is well known in past of China, even if they are not siblings, but they can be brother or sister by doing a ritual which is drop each of their blood to a bowl with water , Lol... and it suddenly comes out like this, we named our gang with Tik Huek but for sure we didn't do the ritual .
The other name of our gang is Namorambe, it comes from Nomaden or Nomadic, which is mean we love to move from one place to another place. Yes, we used to do it, so during weekend, we will choose whose place that we are gonna mess up , and we will spend our weekend there.
But now, the members are getting married one by one, more difficult to spend the whole weekend together since they start have their own happy family . Nah, lemme introduce the member 1st
We start to know each other from "Nesia Travel" all of us was worked at there, but now just left Julbeck there. Julbeck and Hosin already married and have their daughter, Winda will be married soon, this 19 november 2011. So just left me, Vita, Juju and Sri. Let see who's next??? :D

TF Gang
TF Gang, is a gang consists of me and my annoying friends, that know each other since we were at junior high school . TF stands for Tutti Fruity , actually it's a name of my parent's restaurant, dunno how, people known us as TF Gang, and here we are :) maybe because we love to held gathering at my parent's restaurant.
Day by day , month by month, year to year , pass from Junior high school , we are still friend at Senior high school, and than we graduated, we move to Medan, choose our own life, choose our faculty and university, start working.
Now we are be separate by distance, one at Malaysia, some at Medan, some at Rantau prapat, another at Jakarta and Kisaran, it makes us difficult to meet up, gathering . But still, we always try to find a time to gathering, even difficult to make all the members join it.
